AS/Credentials System i CL Programming
The purpose of this course is to explain the programming constructs needed to develop control language programs and commands. This course is designed to introduce the System i CL programming language to programmers who are comfortable with programming in other languages and have some familiarity with System i commands.

Course Content:
- The structure of CL programs and the format for entering commands.
- The iSeries keywords, syntax and variables.
- The use of logical expressions such as *And, and *Or and *Not as well as the If, Else and Do operations.
- The passing and retrieving of parameters and system values.
- The sending, receiving and monitoring of program messages, including sub-files, message queues, message files, and predefined messages.
- The retrieving, changing and displaying of data areas, including the local data area.
- The use of files within a CL program.
- The concepts of date conversions command prompting and copying spool files.
